Hello, In our garden there are loads of dandelions. Can they eat them? If so how many can they have at once? Also, do you mix them into the hay or do you just put them in a bowl?
Thanks

I'm a newbie here so hopefully someone with more experience will be along shortly, but basically they can eat dandelions as long as they are free of pesticides, insecticides, and urine from animals like dogs. I give my Piggies the occasional dandelion flower As a treat. I'm not sure about the leaves or the stem. Hopefully someone else can advise.

The thread listed above looks great but ill add a few things
I find the most reliable way to dry forage is a dehydrator as your not weather restricted
But if you don't have one you can dry stuff outside out on a hot day, best options for this are a fish drying net (what I use) or a piece of mesh but in reality you don't need anything just sunshine and heat, lay the leaves somewhere, turn them once throughout the day and youll no when its ready when its a crisp consistency
Once dried your forage must be stored correctly, it must never get damp else then you can't feed it.
This works for any type of forage really
