I need some advice i have found dark brown possibly pee in my guineas pee.I have 3 pigs so I'm trying to do some investigation to who's it is. I think its my new boys pee. they are all eat drinking playing like normal. Does anyone know of a good vets in Manchester for guineas? The P@H has a vet the store seems like they care for the animals there. Should I go there?

have you recently fed them beetroot? this can turn their pee brown/red.

dont know about vet's though sorry.

It could be a number of things, like laura said if you have fed them something orange or red like carrots etc it can be this. Red urine. Is your guinea pig squeaking when passing urine or poops? As this can be a bladder infection which normally a course of oral Baytril from the vets will cure, or it could be bladder stones which is more serious. Either way ask for an xray to rule out bladder stones or tumors. (ask to keep piggy awake while they do xray though)
:) someone will give you better advice than me soon.
Good luck x

no havent fed them beetroot. I got told the spinach is a good food to give them. they forgot to tell me that should only fed alittle amount since i read can cause problems to do with their urinary system and my youngest boy loves spinach with a passion.

defo check up at vets because if bladder stones you cant hang around as it could become painful, awww bless, good luck x
