I work at a sandwich shop. So I have almost an unlimited amount of fresh veggies. However, I don’t work everyday and I hate to see them go to waste. So today I decided to try dehydrating what I brought home since I already have so much in the fridge for them. When I first got the boys, I bought pellets with bits of other stuff In It. Later I read it’s not the best choice since they may pick out only the bits. But of course, they dont like the plain pellets. Go figure. I give them pellets first thing in the morning so I know they are hungry and will actually eats them. Then veggies through out the day when they get to oinking. Lol. I thought maybe since they ate the bits out of the pellets before, that they might also enjoy the dehydrated ones I make them. I will let you know how it goes! Has anyone else tried this?

Don't forget, the merit of fresh veggies is that they get vit c and other minerals. Dried veggies can only be given as forage.

To add, The main part of their diet (85%) should be hay, so giving veggies throughout the day can cause them to not eat enough hay.

They have literally NOT ever eaten all of everything I have given them. You would think they were starved the way the eat. Which is absolutely not the case. Little pigs! But I will definitely take that into account and factor it in. Thank you!
