Junior Guinea Pig
I firstly posted a question and piggl introduced this section --- so I post here.
Today our loveliest, sweetest and most intelligent and most adored Zelie passed away.
She was 3 years and 3months and she was a very healthy piggy just until actually last night.
I took her to the small animal vet this morning, but it was too late... She passed away around 3:10 (2:10 GMT) this afternoon. It was really sudden and though we are never 'ready' for this, but it was too sudden and it was too quick.
Though Zelie allowed me enough time to take to the vet, and then to take care of her (cyringe feed + drag treatment) and to tell her properly that I loved her so much and thanked to her (altough it was to persuade her to rest with us...), hugged her and let her head under my chin (one of her favourite!). She let my daughter take care of her and caressed her, too. Then she went to her house where she lived with her elder friend Moru (5year and 7months) and she said goodbye to Moru there. She passed away with Moru being besides her body.
We adopted Zelie from an rescue organisation back in September 2020. 2 years and 9 months with her gave Moru, my daughter and me full of happiness and many many many lovely, sweet and yet funny memories.
For us it is too sudden and too sad... but as my daughter says, at least Zelie did not (visibly) suffer for long time. Until 2 days ago she behaved normally... even she asked me to give me a caddle. And she ate her veg and hay normally until last night...
She was never being a noisy piggy, but I miss her cute voice asking me to feed veg bowl in the morning and in the evening, as well as treat (cucumber) for the noon.
Before we adopted her, she had a hard life... she was rescued by people and then sent to an organisation near to us.
I do hope that she really enjoyed being a member of our family and living with us. Hopefully she was very happy with us.
We love you Zelie. You will stay in our heart forever and you already miss us. Thank you for sharing us your wit and cuteness for 2 years and 9 months.
Please wait for us at the Rainbow bridge - one day, we will join you there. Meanwhile I hope you found your babies and possibly some friends who decided to go there before you.
