Hi, I'm after some advice, now the nights are getting colder the dew on the grass is getting heavier. *** do other people do, do you wait till the grass is dry or do you still put them out on the grass whilst it wet?

I try to put my piggies out before going to work, but now don't know whether to wait till later but then I feel guilty that they are in their hutches till lunchtime. ?/

What I do if the grass is damp or I think it might rain, I give them a house in the run that is raised off the ground. So they have the choice to go in the house or to go on the grass.

I definitely wouldn't put them out if it's still chilly and the grass is damp. But I personally would if it was warm enough and only very slightly damp. So that it's not wet enough to make them wet too . . .

I think people usually say that it's dangerous for piggies to get damp.

Mine have a run attached to their hutch 24/7 so they sometimes do come out if it's raining a little and get slightly damp . . . I guess it depends what they're used to too.
