hello!

I have two male guinea pigs ( one baby and one adult). They are both in good health and eat/drink water regularly. They poop and pee a lot. However, today as they were having floor time , my adult guinea pig had a couple pieces of smelly and less solid poop so I started freaking out. I removed the baby and began to wash the adult's hands because he got poop on it. After, I put him back in the playpen alone to monitor his poop and he pooped 7 times and they were all normal and solid. He drinks water and eats normally and hasn't shown any mood changes. Not sure why he had some watery/smelly stool and then it went back to normal but since the diarrhea wasn't consistent I'm assuming it's not an infection. Should I change up something in their diet?

It was most likely a blip. Diarrhoea is an issue if it is ongoing, but if the poops are plentiful and back to normal, just keep doing what you're doing. No need to change anything drastically.

Stop feeding any fresh Food until the Poos have firmed up again for 24-48 hours, then re-introduce veg slowly and in small quantities again to make sure that the tummy has really settled down.
See a vet if that is not the case or promptly if you are dealing with proper runny diarrhea and not just a minor tummy upset.

Thank you guys for your help! I Won't feed fresh food for a day and I'll keep monitoring them

My Rosie got the runs due to long term Loxicom use (pain killer)
I was advised same as above really, no fresh veg and LOTS of hay (as usual)
Hope your little pudding feels better soon x
