Hi,
My piggies just suffered with a sudden case of diarrhoea. It was the first time any of my pigs have had it and it was pretty scary (I probably over reacted) when I got home from work I picked her up and her bum was absolutely soaking wet, at first I thought it may be urine and she may have a UTI but when I looked at the colour it was a clearish brown. I didn't give my piggies any veg for a couple of days and the diarrhea cleared up. I'm just wondering what could have caused it as I don't feed my guinea pigs massive amounts of veg and always give them a balanced diet. Is there anything I could do to help my piggie as the diarrhea has cleared up but she still feels down. Thanks, sorry for all the writing x

If she's not back to normal then it would e worth a trip to the vet as it could be something else causing a problem.

Diarrhoea is usually caused by a bit of veg that they've never had before, or a piece that wasn't fresh. They have quite delicate stomachs so need new things introductinf very slowly.

Bumblebee did try a bit of banana a night or so before she got the diarrhoea, that probability caused it. Il have to make sure in the future to be careful introducing new foods, thank-you x

That's probably the culprit. Although pigs love fruit they really don't need to eat it as it can cause digestive issues, so if you want to give them any only offer a tiny bit and no more than once a week x
