Hi all

So our girls have gotten a little plump...! We may have overdone the fresh veg each day.

They eat an incredible amount of hay but I’m pretty sure from reading on here that that should never be limited. They get a tablespoon of pellets a day between them so not much. And then they get a bowl of fresh veg to share, twice a day. I’m thinking I just have the veg? It’s a standard size bowl but admittedly I do pile it high....

Should I do that one serving once per day, or just have it and do twice a day. I thought spacing it out might be better for them.

Yeah the pic of the daily portion is definitely smaller than what I’ve been giving them but it just looked so stingy (I know.... bad mother of piggies!).

They get red lettuce, some red capsicums, either some cucumber or some green beans, and then some coriander or parsley.

They don’t ever get fruit and only an occasional carrot 🥕

Have you thought of scatter feeding the veg or hiding it all round their cage so they have to run about and find it? We always do that at least twice a week in the playpen, we skip the pellets and food bowls and just mix the veg with a big pile of floor hay and hide bits of veg in their hidey houses, it gets them moving a fair bit and makes for an exciting couple of hours piggy entertainment!
