I'm wondering if diet is the problem and causing Frank to have an upset stomach as it is, making his poop all odd.

He has timothy hay all day and some meadow hay.

His main vegetables are:
2-3 leafs gem lettuce dependent on size
Bell pepper 2 sticks of each
Four small chunks of carrot.

Pellets he has a small bowl full, excel nuggets (w/mint) and some left over blackberry ones might come out with it.

Here's an example:
Normal ish one and a stringy like attached type one...

If I were you I would cut out all veg for the time being (at least 48 hours longer than the last funny poop) and then slowly introducing them one by one per day. That way, you can find out whether there is a specific veg that is causing the problems.

Could you please keep everything related to one case/piggy together in one thread from now on, as it makes it easier to refer back to the specific problem when we are jumping around between lots of issues giving advice.

Okay I'll try that, made another post because I didn't want to detract from the other persons piggy who made the post. -.-

He looks quite impacted, should I give him probiotic whilst he's not having veg?

Should I give him more vitamin c whilst he's not having veg?

You can give him probiotics and vitamin C. if he is impacted, have you checked his pouch? has he got any medication to help his guts? if not please have him seen by a vet.

I use coconut oil and clean him once a week?
Nope, but I can try and get him an appointment tomorrow and ask for his second lot of more treatment at the same time?

if his digestion/impaction is not improving, please have him seen. he may need more gut stimulant and your vet needs to do a bit more thinking about what is going on.

Yeah, I'll try and bring his appointment forward a week and take the mite treatment to do myself next week. Or should I try your suggestions first?

I think 'impaction' was the problem so we've just got to keep him cleaned out down there now, even the vet said that was the most likely cause. If it doesn't improve he's back again in 2 weeks to the vets, poor little love.

He's had an injection for the mites today and due to sneezing more than normal and a cough here and there the vets put him on Baytril 0.2ml 2xdaily for 7 days. I asked about probiotic and she said if he has it constantly in his water that should be fine, he also has digestive support and immune support oxbow tablets that I got him :)

Assume this is all okay?
