Please can someone explain the difference between these two nuggets, as I would like to wean my piggy's off Gerty because of the bad reviews of added colorings. Which one is the best? What about tesco purple bag,is this OK and what are the ingredients? Just in case they don't like the nuggets after being on a muesli mix for almost 2 years! Any health benefits of nuggets?
Any information I would be grateful, as I would like to feed my piggy's something tidy and not rubbish.:))

There is no difference between them they recently rebranded is all but the product is the same. You can get the oregano and blackcurrant ones too which are flavoured.

I used to use museli and switched mine - all have accepted the nuggets now. I use a mix of the plan nuggets and the flavoured ones. They always eat the flavoured first and then eat the plain but they do eat both and finish the bowl before I add any more.

The benefits of nuggets is that they don't just pick out the stuff they like which is usually not very good for them, they get all the nutrients and in burgess stuff there are usually good nutrient content - especially the vitamin c which is high and protected until the best before date.

Pets at home do a nugget that has lots of vitamin c too protected - i think it's a little bit cheaper but some of the ingredients are different.

Thanks, once the gerty has all gone I will try the switch. I noticed on the website you can free samples of both the normal and the flavoured ones, I will order some to try them.
Did you ask me before about getting hay? I thought of a place that is close for you, its in Caerphilly. Do you know the area?
If you do its just up the hill from the nantgarow cinema on that roundabout is the 4th exit says 'Mountain'.

I did ask you but have since bought loads. When i'm running low i'll be back in touch. I live 5 minutes from Nantgarw so that would be perfect!

Good luck with the food swap.

It took me three weeks of sitting it out until Dizzy relented and started eating her pellets. Trying to switch softly didn't work with her - she wouldn't eat anything that wasn't Gertie's on principle, and Gertie's only very selectively.

thankfully, dry food is only a comparatively small part of their diet.

PS: My Llewelyn had no problems at all with the switch, but he is a lot less particular!
