disinfecting brush?

Ok I'm not sure ive posted this in the right section so feel free to move it if needs be.

Ive finished treating the piggys now for mites and fungal but I'm a bit wary of using gwens grooming brush. Is there a safe way of disinfecting it so i can use it again on gwen? I dont want her to get mites or a fungal infection again. Its a wire brush with a plastic handle.

i would sterilise it in boiling water but i dont know if it would dammage the brush

that was what i was thinking....but it has a plastic handle and plastic base where the metal teeth are

what about a sterilisling tablet to clean it
