Diy Houses And Toys Healthy?

Hey there, so I hate a bored guinea pig and am constantly making new cages and toys to entertain my pig. However, I am always worried about the safety of her eating it. OK, so my piggy eats EVERYTHING, I don't mind cardboard but what if it has ink or what about egg cartons? Do any of you guys know about that? Any ideas for new toys?

Egg cartons should be fine. They're just made of recycled cardboard. My pigs' favorite things are when I soak bits of cardboard in strawberry juice. It's pretty sugary, so I give it as a treat.

Yes egg cartons are great for the piggies, hide bits of food in them for them to dig out. Mine were not interested at all in the egg boxes but do love a good toilet roll stuffed with hay.

I have also found that my lot love the willow toys, they have pretty much demolished their willow stuff in a matter of weeks.

Try looking on pinterest for great piggy diy toys, I have got lots of ideas from there.
My friend used to hang a washing line of veg across her cage, keeps them interested and makes them work a bit for their dinner.
