My Auntie's little cat, Blitzen went missing on Thursday and reappeared yesterday morning with serious cuts and bruises to her legs and a fractured pelvis. She's on cage rest until her op this Thursday, and then she'll need a further six to seven weeks of cage rest. My Auntie was wondering whether cats need physio? She thought it was odd that recovery just involves cage rest.

We've never had an injured cat before so we have no experience with pelvic fractures.

You can get physio for any animal at specialist hospitals. It's probably best speaking to the vet, they will know where the best place is to find out information.

Physio can do wonders for animals that need it. Talk to your vet about it and if they'll be able to refer you if they don't offer it. The vet might want the fracture to heal first but a good vet should have no problem taking you through everything
