For those of you who dont know i am new on here. I got two little boy piggies in February and on Monday one of them passed away (Rocket). Since then his brother Tubes has had a hectic week! He has had a sore ear! :(.... Plus he still wont drink from his bottle but rather enjoys getting hand fed cucumber and vit c soaked carrot and tomato with some basil thrown in for good measure! So he's coming along and is far more social than ever before it is so much fun to see him bouncing around again :)....

However i have noticed since the vet gave me the drops and he got the Mite med's on his neck he has a little greasy patch behind both ears and his back can anyone tell me if this is normal? I am just being overly cautious - he's our baby :) and want to make sure he's healthy and happy... thanks x

Some topical drugs are not able to dissolve in water so in order to make a liquid medicine, an oily base is used instead to dissolve the active chemicals.

So if you are using mite spot-on treatment then it is quite normal that the piggies hair can be oily for a few days Please do not be tempted to wash it off too soon - leave it at least 3 days.
