Do Guinea Pigs Naturally Have Myco? If Not, Do They Die If They Get It?

Asking this because I have rats in my room, will my guinea pigs get myco from them, or can my guinea pig give myco to other animals, like, if they have it naturally already? I've heard that washing hands is not enough for mycoplasma to be gone?
 
Guinea pigs dont natuarally carry mycoplasma that i know of. I don't think having them in the same room will cause an issue, providing that you dont house them literally together sharing exactly the same air space. Providing your clean between your pets i don't see it being a problem and I have never heard of it spreading from rats to piggies. But don't quote me.

Mycoplasma is a type of bacteria which often rats carry in their respiratory system. It makes them prone to respiratory infections and pnuemonia. There is no data i can find on it affecting guinea pigs. Doesn't mean it wont 100% for sure, but i imagine that the two animals would have to come into practically direct contact and air space to infect the other.
