My dad is quite fond of my two I think! He always gives them a fuss and buys their favourite veggies... And talks to them in a silly high pitched voice lol

well where to start i met my OH 7yrs ago he had never had a pet before well he did say he had one pet a goldfish:)):)) i on the other hand have always had pets after moving in with him after 4 mths i managed to get him let me have a dog but it had to be a greyhound only because he like the racing me i hated it but i thought oookkkkk i only wanted a yorkie size dog but its a dog so thats fine after having sammy we soon went on the have suzie who is now 10yrs sammy died after 2 yrs of having him both were ex racing rescues.we then went on the have 1 guinea pig 4 yrs ago then a rabbit who is now about 3 a rescue, then i had another 2 females for my guinea whiskers who is a female well this year we have suzie still a rabbit still same one,2 rats,8 guineas of my own and 19 rescue guineas looking for homes and ive have rehomed 47 guineas now..
all in 7yrs with a man who never had a pet only a gold fish and he loves them as much as mexx

My OH was like this and had only had a family dog when i met him,now he shares the house with 4 dogs,2 rats in his study and 13 piggies lol

We both decided to get our piggies but kev wasnt very happy about it as a stronger bloke he didnt want to hurt them, this is why he didnt like furries but now he loves the piggies and our gerbils just as much as me, i dont think anyone can resist them in some way they all fall in love with them and interact with them!

My Dad loves them :) he wouldn't actually do any of the work, but he loves them sitting on his knee, or he will lie on the floor with them while they eat their veggies and have cute conversations with them!

My OH has built the boys a cage, then revamped it for the girls :)
I now have it on a stand so it's easier for me to clean out.
He holds Velvet when i need to do her hair cut, as she's a wiggly girl :))
He will buy them veggies and always says hello to them when he goes to work and comes home, they still run away from him, so i tell him to give them more treaties :(|) (maybe they're doing this deliberately rolleyes)

Tbh honest I wouldn't be with my partner unless he loved animals as much as I do. He does the whole man thing and rolls his eyes when I talk to them and bring in new additions, but he's always talking to them.
He'll ring me when I'm out, put his mobile phone in the pigs cage and make them chatter down the phone to me! rolleyes

I hate reading about people who's partners 'won't let them' have more animals or extend cages etc - I'd tell them where the door was! :))

My boyfriend and I have been together six years this month and when we first met he'd never had a pet of his own. He took to my first dog Bobbie immediately and we got our first piggies Minnie and Daisy together. We now have 31 pigs and another dog as well as Bobbie called Mollie. Craig loves the animals almost as much as I do. Yesterday he took me on the 80-mile round trip to get another Skinny as I had been left broken hearted when Gucci (see my avvie) passed away. He is fab x)

My dad loves guineas, he talks to animals in a cutsie voice and always fusses over them and gives them treats. That doesn't stop him whineing about the amount of pets my sisters have and how they take up two bedrooms, the garage and the back garden. My OH likes the pigs but doesn't totally love them, he worries when they are sick and hates to hold them so I can cut their nails because they don't like it. He just doesn't like them to live inside cuz he has hayfever and the last ones who lived inside wheeked constantly through his exam revision and drove him nuts. He said he doesn't care how many I have in the future as long as they are outside :)) :)) :)) just no room for more at the mo.

My dad doesn't mind the guinea-pigs too much, he sits by the run in the summer and feeds them grass and vegetables. He sometimes holds them and asks them where their tails are :)) He makes things for them too :)

Came home from work at 10.20pm last night. OH said 'Oh me and the boys watched Confessions of a Shopaholic'. I thought he meant our sons but in fact he watched it with Sir David and Columbo on his knee. He's got it baaaad :))

Tree Surgeon, Conservationist and Extreme sports enthusiast...
To balance it out I have two beautiful Sows. Tufty and Peaches =]
Hoping to introduce a third in the next month or so.
They live in my bedroom where I pretty much live when not cooking or outside.
Made them a 2x5 c&c cage and they have permanent access to a run that's twice the size of their cage. (I'm glad I have a long room!)

:)
