Do sows scent mark

I have owned guinea pigs for nearly 3 years so am pretty embarrassed that I am asking this question :red

I am just wondering if females scent mark or anything?

The reason I ask is because I had the girls out in their indoor tent earlier and Eliza is on heat. She was chasing Ellie, Erin and Ena and mounting them and I noticed a really pongy smell >>> I was worried at first that it could have been a smelly pee but they hadn't made any toilet stops. I also held all 4 of them and they were all dry. None of them particularly smelled.

Do sows give off a funky smell when they are in season?

Basically, yes. More so when they are in season.

I must say that I can not believe I haven't really noticed it before. Having said that, I have just been out to cover them up for the night and Eliza is proper on one which she hasn't been this bad for quite a while. Poor Ellie had a wiggly bum in her face!
