I was just wondering does anyone have any favourite breed or do you like all of them?
I love them all but have abit of a soft spot for teddy's they look fab :smitten:
 
Rex's!

i think its pretty obvious by the way i react to any photo of a rex ;D

it all started with my little munchie, i think they have such cute fluffy little baby faces, and have lovely temprements :smitten:

and no matter how big fat and fluffy they get their faces never change :smitten: :smitten: they always look like little baby pigs :smitten:

plus i love their hair :smitten:

and if they have white and pink piggy lips/nose that a bonus O0 ;D
 
Oh that is a tough one.

For independence I love the abys, I love how they have different faces to the smooths.

For gorgeousness it has to be the Peruvian, I love their flat little faces and crazy hair!

For calm ability then I love the Rex!

For cuteness I love the smooths, I love how they looks so tubby with their rolls of fur underneath their chins!

I also love Shelties, they are sweet little pigs.

I love them all.. I cannnot choose! :D

i find smooths more handsome than cute. bob is very vain and full of pride, so i love smooths for their personality ;D

also the chubby chin is very cute, and the chunky bums! ;D ;D especially on black piggies ;)
 
Yeah Eccles is handsome, he is a crested smooth. Fleur has the rolls, she is 1200g now and is only 6 months old! Big Mamma! :D
 
wow she is big! ;D

bobs down to less than 1250g now :( hes lost so much weight I'm so worried, hes lost over 150g he was just under 1400g he is eating well, but i think he is stressed cos of thhe mites :(

as soon as i get back to derby i am getting him straight back to the vet and giving them a piece of my mind, and see a vet thats actually half decent to treat him >:(

back on topic, i always think bob is the handsome one, and munchie is cute ;D
 
a lot ;D i cant count them all as were guarenteed to miss a few ;D

i think there is a list somewhere
 
i only have 6 smooth haired tri-coloured, and 1 coronet.. all have diff personalities so i love them all the same :smitten:

Are all breeds fab or are some grumpy?
Are each and everyone different or is it like dogs labs like to dig?
I hope you get what i mean? ?
 
There are loads of breeds. Lez, it probably is the mites with Bob, Flora although eating and is generally ok is fluctuating and I think the lice have been playing her up. She is 100g less then Fleur and always has been the smaller of the two. :)
 
from my experiance (i only have experience with 4 breeds ;D)

smooth - proud piggies, that describes my bob perfectly. hes bossy, vain, always grooming
rex - gentle giants, my rex is a very bib boy, but is so calm natured and just like a baby
abby - full of attitude! i swear my housemates abby needs to have behaviour lessons he hates me, and throws such tantrums
sheltie - quiet, (my housemates does a great dopey look at you), but can get quite playful when excited

just my experience from the pigs in our house
 
I absolutely love teddies for their cuteness and personalities, they are so laid back :smitten:

I think different breeds do have different personalities....I have an aby x who is quite distainful, my coronet and sheltie are lovely but quite skittish, my shorthaired are just plain cute and cheeky and my 3 teddies you can just do anything with :smitten: :smitten:

yeah i dont know all the breeds, just ones ive found out about from here ;D

poor bob is scratching so much, hes finished his antibiotics, and has been bathed in coconeem, but cos the stupid vet only gave us spot on, it isnt getting better. he should have had the injection like i said in the first place to the vet >:(

LJ i agree shelties do get a bit skittish too

Looks wise i love aby's, shelties and coronets are stunning, smooths are fatties and very shiny, Peru's are crazy looking, Rex's have lovely personalities but my favourites are aby's. I love their tubby bellys and the way they look at you with the whites of their eyes showing a bit so they look suprised ;D and they always look smiley :smitten:
 
I love Abyssinains :smitten: and have three of them :smitten:
On the whole I love ALL piggies :smitten:
 
Abys are lovely. My Sunshine is a dashing pig. He kinda gets overlooked because of Twinkle who if I am honest is stunning looking (but such a girly looking pig) Sunshine has a beautiful rusty colour and loves having his belly stroked.

I do think Aby's or Aby Crosses are my favs they have big personalities. My 2 aren't keen on cuddles but my other 4 who are shorter haired (2 smooths 1 rex) love it. I don't think grumpiness comes with breeds I think it is down to personalities as my girls are sisters and one is so laid back the other can be a nark!
 
Abys!

I have 3 abys and they are all fab! Wendy was my first and she's such a character! Although i also have a smooth hair and she has the best temprement out of all of them (with humans that is, she's not quite as inviting with pigs but she's slowly learning some piggy manners with her new hubby!) :) :smitten:
 
I adore the Rexes, but don't have one yet, but my absolute faves are the smooths or shorthairs, each and every one are just so gorgeous though! All ours are shorthairs at this time. When it comes to colours - Agouti and cream make me melt (but again, have no Agoutis!) but I also love black, black and white or torts. Again, they're all beautiful and it's hard to have faves isn't it.
 
I can not just have one favorite I have to have TWO... Skinnys and Satins.

I love Skinnys because all the pigs I have met have outgoing, in-your-face personalities and the nearly nakedness is hard to resist
I love Satins because they are sooo shiney! They have different personalities, mine are mainly chilled out.

I love all pigies really but my favourite have to be Abby's and Smooth because there the only ones I have ever had! :P
