Looking for any kind of factual book about guinea pigs. It can be anything, origins, vet books, anatomy books, behaviour books, breed books, why guinea were used in science labs...anything!

For an example, last year I found this in A Guinea Pig's History of Biology by Jim Endersby. I made a post about it here - Guinea Pigs In History!

I honestly use the internet.
What are the books being used for?

Mostly its just for my own research! I really love guineas, so I want to know everything! Plus, with a book, I can use them in my university work. Its a bit niche, but its my interest

You can get a subscription of The Guinea Pig Magazine. Loads of information you can get from it. You can even get back issues if you want too.

I also used to have a bit of a piggy/rabbit/dog /hamster book collection, and sadly realized that it all became out of date very quickly.

When we first got guinea pigs I joined this forum and ordered 3 books from Amazon.
Only a few years later all of the books are pretty outdated in their advice and outlook, and I find online publications and maintained forums a far more reliable source.

As a scientist, I actually know of very few people these days who opt to have their research physically published, and in a niche market (like guinea pigs) I imagine there is even less of a call, when most people will just turn to the Internet anyway.
