Does Anyone Use Great Western Exotics Vets?

have you ever seen a vet called shiva? he used to work there. if you have, can you tell me what you thought of him and the treatment he gave your pets. thanks.
 
Amanda1801 has used great western exotics several times with Cameo - she may have seen him.
 
Generally they have a very good reputation for piggies- but as I',m sure you're aware - it's the individual vets in ANY practice that count. And those vets can move on elsewhere.

been doing some more research and think he worked at taylor and marshall exotic vets aswell. his full name is shivananden sawmy. i think nanden and shiva are nicknames.
 
Is Shiva the new vet at Ashleigh in Manchester? I recognize his name. Would be interested to hear how people have got on with him. Although I will usually only see Aidan with my pigs.
 
Interesting. I used to go to a vets in Fleet in Hampshire (Ancells Vet) when their vet left I started to go back to Tlehurst as they have the best guinea vets around. They did say a new guy was starting from Western Exotics but I was reticent to start again with another vet. This is his name:

Shiva Sawmy BVM&S MRCVS

Do you think its him? If so, I would also love to know as Fleet is far more local! (not near Manchester though... probably more than one Shiva!)
 
just seen these latest comments. yes, it's shiva sawmy. he turned out to be good treatment wise with maisie, however his manner is polite but cold i found. but i would use him again, if aidan or michelle weren't working. i prefer aidan as we have seen him for years and years, but michelle and shiva have both given excellent treatment. and i think that's the main thing. obviously great treatment and a personality i connect with is better (like we have with aidan)

eta: i read a while back that someone didn't gel well with aidan. and that baffled me! :)) so it's just down to who you connect with alot of the time. but aslong as they give the pet the best treatment, then that's the main thing. and i do believe that shiva did that.
