My boar has had these little things at his willie recently. At first i thought he had a little bit of hay stuck in his willie and eased it out only to look closer and it looked like a little mini beansprout. Hopefully you are not eating a stir fry reading this!

So since then it has happened a few times and today i examined his willie, gentle pressure to extract penis and it looked weird, sheath looked white and a bit swollen id say although i am not a guinea pig willie expert. But these little sprout things keep appearing and they stink (sorry tmi)

Any one shed any light? I'm not sure if it is normal and only because he is more mature now (not quite a year) and it is just an adult willie now. Sorry not really sure how to put it without wanting to laugh.,

Obviously if this isnt normal i will take him straight to vet. He does pee plenty, drinks plenty etc.

Also noticed where i applied pressure there was something firm there that wasnt there before.

I just wanted an opinion before rushing him to the vet for something normal. Like taking a child who has just gone thru puberty to the gp thinking he has some terrible affliction!

Anyone?

I don't know anything about boy bits, but there was a thread in the health an illness section (complete with photos) that talked about sperm rods....could this be what it is?

Nice! Yes that is exactly what it looks like. Before i had kids i was a sexual health nurse, i thought id seen it all and nothing could make me want to puke..... yuk!

:)) this thread and the linked thread really makes me want to giggle like a school child...sorry :{

do all boars get these at some stage in there lives? Ive got two boys aprox 18mnths old....not seen anything like the bean sprouts before....but if I do at least I know what it is now! this forum is flippin brilliant! lol every piggie owner should be a memeber! xx>>>xx>>>

This has recently been happening to my elderly boar, and when I first found one, I panicked and thought it was serious. I rang up my vet and shevery kindly explained to me what it was. it was an extremely awkward conversation to say the least! :red
I described it exactly as you : a smelly beansprout! lol.
I dont think I am ever going to be able to eat beansprouts again :)>>>
