i have 2verry diffeerent male piggys persi is calm and finny is verry hyperactive and ive noticed that wen persi is trying to sleep or rest finni jumps on him and allways wants to play and never lets persi rest and now ive noticed hes gettin a bit depressed and I'm worried about them.

vet for a check up?
Has the depressed piggie been losing weight; if you're not sure you may want to begin to weigh him regularly - it's a useful practice to get into.

Has Persi got a wee hidey house he can get in when Finni is playing or could you pop Finni in a run for a bit of floor time to give Persi a break?

I would recommend weighing as well.

If Persi becomes more withdrawn, you may have to separate them longterm.

I'm not sure how you can come to such a final conclusion when the original poster has given such a vague description of what's happening; especially when the OP hasn't stated cage size (she has two boars in one cage, clearly) and can't say if it's dominance behaviour ("playing") or that she has a potentially sickly guinea pig.

I didn't say anything about separating right away, only that it might be something to think about if things didn't get any better in the long term.

It might be useful to know how big that cage is that the boys are in; I don't think that you have had them for long, have you? It takes at least a few days and weeks to settle.

Make sure that you have everything in twos: hides, bowls, water bottles etc., so one piggy can't be bullied off food and can get some rest away from the other.

Here is some info about boar behaviour:

To the OP, perhaps you should measure your cage? It seems to be coming up quiet alot. And you may think it huge but it may not be quiet enough. I used to think that when i was younger when i had guineas but i can see how wrong i was now :(
