Whenever Luna challenges Bandit for the house she's in, Bandit lets out this high pitched squeal (the emergency one). I've watched this unfold. Luna never touches her but she squeals like she's about to be masacarred.
I came running the first few times, thinking she's hurt, but she's not. I ignored it, but she continues until I come. Luna is always the other side of the hutch at this point. I pick Bandit up. She squeals, then calms down.
I can't keep coming to the rescue.

I have no advice but I'm watching this. My Storm and Pippa are like this too. Newly bonded so maybe sorting out the hierarchy 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree. Sounds like submissive squeals, normal behavior. Consider using hideys with two exits. That way, your piggy won't get blocked in by the dominant one.

Mine are doing this at the moment. I had a fleece forest in there that they were arguing over so I've taken it out and left 2 identical bendy bridge hideys. They won't go in them. I feel like they're on strike.

Submission squeals sound far more dramatic to us than they actually are in reality. But if you have a particular house that is a focus for contention, then it’s best to remove it and replace it with perhaps a cardboard box house with 2 doors cut in so that no pig can get cornered. For maximum peace and harmony in a set up the aim would be one house each plus one extra and to ensure all houses /hideys have 2 exits.
