Hello

We moved our boars into a C and C Cage a couple of months ago and they seem to love it.

The only problem is they seem to have stopped drinking, or at least we never see them doing it and the water hardly goes down anymore. One thing i do notice is that when we do a full change over and clean out of the cage the first thing they do in the old cage is go straight to the water bottle.

Just wondering if you you have any tips or ideas as to why they are drinking less?

They could be getting water out of there veg, or just drinking, I always change mine daily & only use filter water. If you are really worried really wet there veg, also cucumber is nearly all water.

Hi! Do you use the same water bottle or have they got a different one in their old cage?

We use the same water bottle and give them fresh water all the time. We're starting to getting worried about this with the heat at the moment being high. Thing is we had to put them back in their old cage for an hour yesterday while we cleaned them out and the first thing they did was go straight to their water bottle. But again they still won't touch it now they are back in their c and c cage

Have you tried to hold it to their mouths or find a different spot for it? Piggies are funny animals...

Tried holding it in front of them and they run off tried placing it in a few different spots and still nothing

Would you try a different bottle or a bowl of water?

Tried a bowl but they really didn't like it i dont have access to a different bottle at the moment but i could get one tomorrow maybe to try
