dry feet

i have just noticed that my new sow Honey has got slighlty dry feet i use woodshavings for all my piggies and there feet are all fine?

i know woodshavings can do this to piggies but i am in the process of getting some vetbed but was wondering what i could do for her feet in the meantime?
 
Perfect Paws from Gorgeous Guineas is great but I'm guessing you don't have any! Can you take them off the shavings at all (bit obvious, sorry :-\ ) Some Cocoa butter cream rubbed into the soles of her feet might help but don't put her back on the shavings straight away, give it time to 'sink in'. The good thing about PP is that it clings a bit more than other creams :)
 
if you cant take them of woodshavings yet, could you add tons of hay on top? :-\
 
i cant take her off shavings as i have nothing else to put her on would the grooming wipes make a difference at all? i dont think they would but just want to make sure

she is usually hiding in her bed being lazy lol so i will put a layer of hay in their to make her a little bit more comfortable untill i can get my hands on some vetbed O0
 
iv done newspaper and hay before and never went well so i will just stick with some hay until i can sort her out tomorow ;)

i have just noticed that she has one small cut on both her back legs :'(

does any1 know how much vetbed is in P@H?

vet bed in p@h is still half price I think so 4.99 for a small square but in piggy land it covers a reasonable space O0
 
well i went into P@H last night and it was going to cost a fortune the pieces were tiny and costing a fortune i will keep looking around and see what i can get her

i am in the process of getting some vetbed from christine so hopefully i will get that soon O0
