Hi all,
I'm just about to bath and trim my sheltie and was just wondering how i'm best drying her with this weather? I usually stick her in front of the fire for a bit and let her dry off slowly because it's usually quite cold outside. Lately it's been really warm and too warm I think to put her by the fire, but today it's raining and not as hot so don't want to just put her back in the shed wet. What is everyone else doing to dry theirs off in this heat?
Thanks, Emma
x

I have a shelte and I just cuddle her in a towel, having a few fresh, dry ones on hand and switch them out, brushing her periodically.

I don't own a hairdryer, don't want one and I refuse to buy one just for Pola! :)) :p

If the weather isn't good so that they can go out in the run to dry off, I always use a hairdryer on a low heat. They usually don't like the noise at first, but get used to it.

It is always really important that they are dried off 100% as I am sure you know.

Everyone thinks I am mad blow-drying my piggies but I don't! :))

Safest way is to towel dry piggies will dry out quick enough on their own after a good rub down! :)p

I've always towel dried and brushed mine. I think in future I'll try a low heat hair dryer, or at least give it a try

Well that's done thanks for the help! I have basically cut the vast majority of her hair off and so what was left was basically dry by the time she was finished. I love seeing her with really short hair, she looks about ten times smaller and popcorns everywhere bless her! She may not look as pretty (i'm an awful hairdresser :)) ) but she's clean and cool and happy x

I towel dry them as much as I can then I in the winter I dry them off with a low set hairdryer - at this time of year I just let them run about the house to dry off.
