we hes been neutered and I got a call from the vet saying theyve had to put him under again as he chewed his stitches out...ewwwwwwwwwww gross :o :o

I know,but eww the pain
he had better not do it when hes home or hes in trouble, then again i wouldnt know how to stop him ?

Now I feel so damned guilty about taking him..
the vet still wants to charge the £35 neutering fee but they shouldve kept an eye on him,he was fine when I called at 2 but they were gonna re-stitch him..I really dont feel like I should have to pay it,whats everyone else think?

Awww i'm so sorry. Run free little Dusty.
I think it's down to morals whether they charge you or not. The money was for neutering him, they did that. When my pig Jerome went for her op, she was misscarrying, she passed away. The vet didn't charge us even though they had completed what they needed to do.

i agree with you but their view is they did the job. i'm not very happy with my vets right now and thats the reason I'm taking gizmo to a new one tonight.

lately i feel i have beeen ripped off and it seems so wrong when your doing the best for your animals. i took 5 to the vets and yes it was a bit longer than the normal consultation but all she had to do was check their chests and i was charged 5 consultation fees and gizmo who she said seemed fine, even tho i told her he wasn't right is under the threat of being put to sleep.

so awful for you

I'm just pissed that we warned them that he nibbles stuff and they didnt keep an eye on him long enough to notice he had chewed his sitches inside and out to the point where his inards came out too.. :'(

So,so,so sorry to hear about your little lad, feel so rotten,my Boris has not long been neutered and didn't even know that they could chew their stitches!

I am sorry that your little piggy passed away. That is so sad. How old was he?

mums still crying on and off as it was her that took him,I just wish the vets had paid more attention to him when we told them he nibbled things

I feel so damn angry,sorry

Aww poor piggie thinking of you. I know you live not far from me which vets was it? pm me I have a boar thats going to be done in a couple of months time. I have been recomended somewhere and they charge £55 to neuter.
