Marge is having her Baby Piggies!!
Abbi is touching them though. she has them in a cardboard box and is watching every move, if this was real surely Marge would reject the babies?

I'm sat here screaming at the TV, its upsetting me so much!
Mother in tiny box with Father, 6 baby pigs in a teeny box and being prodded constantly!
Poor poor POOR guinea pigs :(

I know My parents think i am cracking up, and she called them PIGLETS? what planet are theese people from?
Poor baby number 6.
Amy.x.

Theyre sat there staring at a probably dead baby sayiong 'what to do?' I'm shouting "Go to the f-ing vets!" grr this is winding me up :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

she swung the Piggy which was the only sensible thing that happened and bought it back to life.x. i am in process of writing a complaint on the BBC website

Amy.x.

Worrying thing is they appear to only have 1 cage, a Nero 2...which is supposed to hold Mum, Dad and 6 piggies...when its not even big enough for 1 pig!

Complaint sent, took a long time had alot to say :)

i'll keep u informed!

Amy.x.

www.bbc.co.uk/complaints will watch on Sunday and report them, like to see for myself first. :) Nero 2 is no where near big enough, I had Cuzzy in that size when he was tiny but he only slept in it. Now he is in Nero 3 and he loves it although I'm freaking out as it is short of 4ft 2! Bloody Eastenders!

You can handle guinea babies as soon as they are born.

The episode was handled a lot better than it could have been I thought, and I think showed what a child would do re the guinea pig, rather than what they should have done, but its a soap, not a pet care channel

It was a bit far fetched that Marge had her babies where she did, in a box on the table but given Abbie's age 9 or 10? i thought she "coped" really well.

I was saying to myself exactly what she did before they even mentioned it lol. And I liked how it was wriggling before sh did anything to save it >:D

Obviously it isn't real but I do think that children of a young age can be influenced by this and think shoving a male and a female together is alright and that a cage like that is also ok. They wouldn't be rejected but she shouldn't have been picking them up or touching the mother when she was coping fine as it can stress mum out, I mean if you were having triplets would you want some pair of hands flying in and picking up the first when you were still trying to give birth :-X

Was this real or on the telly?! Where there really babies being born or was it sort of acted?! x

It was on Eastenders & "the birth" was the camera showing Marge with say 3 babies in a box, then panning out & then back into the box to show number 4 baby etc. They were all large babies & "wet" looking. :)

Yes you can hande babies from birth but the recommendation is once they're dry. And I dont think most people woukld recommend crowding round Mum and prodding her constantly!
I know its only a soap but think of the millions of people who now think this is acceptable because they did it onm Eastenders!

Its a soap for goodness sake, any parents worth thier salt would consult a vet if the pig was pregnant or not let the kid mix the pets in the first place. For a soap I think they did very well. They probably used the box so they could film the pigs without it running off.

They only actually showed you a few babies, not all 7

Most of the people in my shop who dont listen to advice are adults not children it is not a good example to set to anybody, infact this morning i had a lady in the shop saying, my guinea pig is pregnant, do i need to be there when they are being born, should i pick them up and be watching the mother like in eastenders last night? Children always want to learn its the adults that need help.

the minipigs in eastenders were soooo cute :)

i have been waiting for ages for them to be born.

Amy thats a very good example of how Eastenders influences people!

One thing I thought tody though...I wonder how many people sat there going 'Its so fake, the babies have fur!' cos a hell of a lot of people assume GP babies are bald like most other animals!

I havent watched it yet but I call my babies Piglets or Pups. I was told they looked more like 2 week old babies and Marge was very small to produce a large little like that. I though that Marge2 the father was given to Ben after the Stella thing.
