Well, it was just a few hours this morning really!

The reception class, at the school I work in, are starting their 'Vets' topic this week. So the staff are taking their pets in throughout the week! Edward has kicked the week off with guineas pigs. -c

Th children were thrilled to see him, especially the Year 2 children, who hear about the piggies all the time! But I really wanted to share the best question with you all, which was......

"When he grows up will he be a rabbit?" mallethead:))mallethead:))

LOL!!! So cute. I love children's responses to the world.
My four-year old nephew said to me the other day, after I asked which of the guineas he liked best: "Bertie. He's a hero."

Priceless :)):))

AWWWW - that question has made my day! :(|):(|):(|)

I've taken my guinea pigs into the school where I work sometimes. The children know that the scraps of salad food on Friday (from school kitchen) are for my guinea pigs. As a family we have also taken in a cockerel, hen and ducklings, on seperate occassions I hasten to add. We also rescued a kitten last year that was found in the school grounds and no one claimed it! The children like to know when the guinea pigs are coming into school.
