Just an idea sparked off by the other photo gallery thread - if any of the lovely people on here who have adopted piggies from Guinea Pig Rehoming Norfolk could send some photos of their piggies enjoying life in their new homes, I hope to be able to put together a calendar. If you would like to take part, please pm me and if you can send me high-res pics that would be great (or post them on here for starters!).

If you don't me using the photos for that - then please send them in!

Many thqansk

Oooh, count Delilah and Sophia in! What sort of timescale you thinking, Sophie? Just wondering if I can have a play with the camera and some different setups over the next few days. :)

Great idea. Is it something you would sell?

My daughter just bought a G4 book tonight (that's the guinea pig film right?) I am sure she would be into a calendar.

Oh, some time during the next month Laura, would be great! And you can do E&E when they FINALLY arrive! :red

Going well so far, but if anyone else who has had piggies from me would like to be included, please let me know!

Looking forward to putting it together!

Oh Glynis, lovely idea.... but I need to get my photos in some sort of order first, they're all mixed up (I'm not very organised!) I like 'before and after' ones too!

Well, what with my prolonged illness and various other things this year, I fear I have left it too late to do a calendar - however, I am going to put up a thread / page on the GPRN website to say Merry Christmas and to show the piggies in their new homes - so if anyone who has adopted pigs from Vikki or myself could send me a photo (either post it on this thread or email it to me) I will try to include you!

As many happy endings as possible please!

Many thanks

Yes, you can use it on the website no problem. Glad you like the picture! :)

Sophie - on the Merry Christmas page of the website, is that Elijah and Errol or do they have identical twins somewhere out there? :))

It does look like them, doesn't it - they're almost certainly related, the two in the pic are Ace and Aaron, 2 boars who came in from the same lot of rescues! x)

Laura - have you ever considered doing animal photos professionally?
Absolutely stunning pic - there used to be a studio near me that did animal sittings but they NEVER produced anything as beautiful as your photo :)

Aw, thank you Teresa, that's really kind! It's pot luck on whether I get a good photo or not, I usually have to take at least 20 photos per pig to ensure one decent one, and as I don't use flash it limits when I can get clear and sharp pics. It's great to know my photos are appreciated though. I would love to have an animal photography studio here, it is something I might consider in the future. At the moment I'm hoping to get some calendars, cards, postcards, bookmarks etc. printed with the photos, to sell on.

I have been thinking for a while actually on doing a fundraising thing for the CCT, whereby people go and see Vedra for their pigs routine health checks, and then they pop up the hill to see me and I can take some photos of their pigs while they have a cup of tea! They give a donation to me for the photos (which I can print for them) and the full donation goes to Vedra. I'd space it out over the course of a month maybe, see how it goes. Something to maybe consider next year, I need some better photo kit first!

I agree, you'd be in demand! I don't think it matters how many shots you have to take to get a really good one, that's the wonder of digital I guess!

That one of the boys would make a Christmas card any day - it's stunning!

(I've got it as my wallpaper on my work computer to cheer me up! :)))
