Excel Fresh Herbage with Dandelion & Marigold and Excel Blackcurrant & Oregano Nugget

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if its ok to feed Excel Fresh Herbage with Dandelion and Marigold to piggies of all ages and should it be limited or can this type of hay be fed all the time?

The same goes for Excel nuggets with Blackcurrant and Oregano - can these be fed to all aged piggies and can they be fed every day ?

I currently feed my 4 piggies Meadow Hay from the farm, Western Timothy Hay and Excel Nuggets (orange bag) but fancied giving them a bit more variety!

My rescue pigs 8 weeks and 4 months will only eat the blackcurrant nuggets and reject all others. It means I've got to buy 2 lots of food..@)

I shouldn't think there's a problem with the forage you mention being supplied whenever you want to. Mine have the nuggets and various hays/forage etc available all day. But then mine seem to regulate what they eat. It would be a different matter if I felt they were over-indulging or not eating enough hay.

However, I'm no expert and I know some people on here will only feed nuggets twice a day.
 
I'm sure that both can be fed to all ages and i know that many people on the forum use the hay and the nuggets.

I always buy different hays for my pigs to add variety and i use nuggets and muesli types food again to add variety. So I'm sure that your piggys will love the new flavoured nuggets and tasty hay. :))
 
Mine eat the Dandelion one, and they are 3, 2 and 8 weeks. Seems to be OK for them! Not tried the nuggets as I don't like Excel food.
 
Hi my boys are on both of them and have been since they were 8 weeks old and they love them, nearly as much as readigrass lol. But no there shouldn't be a problem, my boys are fine :)
 
ibought the black current nuggets and found them strangley small i normaly feed just regular excell nuggets but sae them fancied a change too and they seem to like them , and how come * *** like excell happysazz123?
 
I have been giving Lottie a mixture of both excell nuggets but i happened to notice the 2 week old babies are eatting the blackcurrant ones - i don't know if its much easier as the bits are much smaller but they seem happy and well. Lottie likes the normal excell. :{
 
I bought my two the Excel Herbage with Dandelion & Marigold after they had really enjoyed a bag of the Excel timonthy hay. I have to say, they aren't as keen on the Dandelion & Marigold version, so next time it's back to the timothy on it's own. rolleyes
