I havent kept them in a few years,I got 2 brothers todayand I have got a massive indoor hutch for them in my room. The noise they are making is phenomenal, sounds like them just freaking out running alot, sort of like they are scaring eachother and then panicking off in different directions really fast.

Being downstairs right now, I can still hear it. It sounds like the neighbors kids running around.

Do you think they will calm down a bit? Its a teeny bit hard to get to sleep ;)
 
they will calm down eventually i find leaving a nightlight on can help as well as a big veggie supper the longer you can distract them with munching the more chance u get to sleep also make sure they have plenty of hideys to tuck themselves away in and one of mine loves nothing more than a huge pile of hay to bury himself under
 
what were they kept in before you took them on? maybe just mega excited because of extra space.
 
It was a pet shop, I would say its about the same size. They are just so spooked! and thank you T bone, I will get a night light
 
Pigs make phenomenal amounts of noise by nature they're hilarious ... but no so good when you're trying to sleep
 
I would recommend giving them lots of things to do for example different toys perhaps get some loo rolls and stuff them with hay and put anew treats in the middle so they have to work for them
 
if you use cardboard tubes remember to cut them longways so their heads cant get stuck. People hang them as well to make them more difficult to get. You could hang strips of fleece from the cage roof to make a fleece forest and you can make balls using cardboard tubes with treats inside as well (see youtube)
 
Sounds like just skittish behaviour as they settle in. Piggies are noisy pets!
 
I agree with Lucyspiggies about loo rolls, mine love them, in fact a little too much, they throw them around now where I stuff them so tight so I sometimes hear them hitting the side of the cage (loo rolls not piggies):-) keeps them occupied for ages though
