Extending a 2x6 C and C

Hi Everyone!

Looking for some advice on extending a current 2x6 C and C base after my boars had a falling out The company I use for all my C and C supplies have offered to send me a 2x2 piece to join onto the end of the 2x6, has anyone joined correx before the bigger enclosures? Do you simply tape it together?

My 'vision' is one 2x8, with grids in the middle so they can clearly see each other.

I’ve not had to join correx but yes you just tape it together

Our boys live as neighbours.
Our set up went through multiple changes due to the space we had available & foster pigs coming & going at one point too.
I never bothered to tape/ join the corex, it’s all just overlapping- but as we use fleece & not disposable bedding it doesn’t seem to matter. Not much gets through.
The hardest bit to clean for me is the middle/shared dividing grids area.
