Hi,

I was looking for some advice from other guinea pig owners.
I have noticed a white discharge in my Felix's eye the last few days. It only ever seems to be in the left eye. The first time I saw it I wiped it away with a warm cloth. I have noticed it several other times now. It never stays for long and by the time I try to show someone it has gone away.

Is this normal? I have had him for over a year and a half now and have never noticed this before. Nor do I see it in my other pig.

Any information would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Siobhan

If it's a milky white substance then this is normal, it's actually a cleaning fluid they produce themselves to clean themselves with. It can be a little worrying the first time you see it but it's perfectly normal :)
