One of my boys seems to be producing a lot of milky cleaning fluid in one eye. There is much more being produced in his right eye than the left. I can't really see anything wrong but it has been going on for a couple of weeks now. I have noticed recently that his brother keeps licking the eye and this is making me think that something might be wrong. Here is a photo of the possibly poorly eye. Also a photo of the other eye for comparison. Do I need to see a vet or is this normal?

I would get him checked out by the vet, could be a slight poke possibly. The vet will be able to pop some dye in (this is painless) to see if there are any issues. The licking of the eye by a cage mate would suggest some issue as he is cleaning it for him.

If its a hay poke the vet would probably prescribe Gentamicin Sulfate or Cirpofloxacin drops. They'd ask you to use it every 6 or 8 hours till the eye gets normal.

Well, today Adric's eye was much the same but Fitz ( his brother ) still keeps licking it. Fitz was also not very well today. Just very lethargic and not his normal self at all. This made me phone a vet and I got an appointment within half an hour.
The vet said that Adric has conjunctivitis in both eyes. He said normally they'd prescribe eye drops but that they didn't have any dilute enough for small furries. So he gave him an antibiotic shot. Does this sound ok? He recommended keeping the boys apart for a few days to stop the licking and give the eyes a chance to recover.
Fitz, who was off colour, apparently has dental problems. The vet said malocclusion of arcades 2 and 3 and lingual spurs on arcade 3- I got him to write it down for me! He said he needed some dental work under general to get rid of the spurs. He gave Fitz a pain killer shot to help for a while and he is booked in on Friday to have his teeth sorted.

I'm hoping that the vet has done the right thing as I've never been there before and they are a bit of an I known quantity. Can someone t'assure me?
