We're still waiting for the histology results from Mr Ted's eye biopsy.
Meanwhile tonight I came home to find Violet with a piece of hay stuck in her eye. Cue emergency trip to the vets for removal. Poor girl has a badly ulcerated cornea so on metacam and eye drops. I feel so sorry for her. :(

I am so sorry - it never rains but pours! All the best for a quick recovery!

Poor thing, hopefully the drops will work their magic quickly. Great that she has pain relief.

I can't fault our vets. Molly saw us immediately as an emergency and gave her an immediate injection of metacam as she was in so much discomfort plus more for home. She always gives good pain relief as we know our piggies aren't that brave and can give up if they feel pain.

Oh no, Poor thing. You have an amazing vet hopefully the drops will get to work fast. Healing vibes x

Update on my piggies

Violet went back to see Molly today. Good news. The eye is healing very well.
Even better news - we can stop the eye drops on Monday. Can't tell you how relieved I 'll be - No more chasing the Sally Gunnell of the piggy world to catch her and no more being bitten and scratched as we struggle to put in her drops. She's a terrible patient :lol!:

Ted also saw Molly today. Good news of sorts. The results of his biopsy showed no malignancy but an overgrowth of cells from an inflammatory reaction. The latest drops are working but we may have to continue to treat him long term as we still have no idea what caused the inflammatory reaction or why it affected only 1 eye. Unlike Violet, Ted is a model patient and a real gentleman!
