My boyfriend was holding Quinn for me to clip his claws. His head fell forward and he went limp. His eye flickered to show the white like he does when he is asleep. He got up a second later and started eating. I honestly don't know what happened. He has always been fine with claw clipping and he was being held correctly and not tightly :(

He's eating and running around just 10 minutes later.

Can guinea pigs faint?

The other thing I am thinking is a stroke, I really hope not :(

Never heard of it, but whatever it was I hope it isn't too serious!

It was hopefully only a one-off, but if there is a repeat, please see a vet. It is impossible to say what it exactly is, and it may even be so for a vet as there is quite a range of things that it could be.

I will take him to vet straight away if it happens again. Hope it doesn't. He is still being his usual self so far x

Nigel used to do similar when being syringe fed, was almost like a protest, he would go all floppy and it was only because he still had a glint in his eye that we knew he was still with is. Used to freak both us and the lady we used to help at clinic out. Don't know if it is the same or not.

He did go floppy then as soon as my boyfriend let go he jumped up and ran behind him. He really scared me!
