We have a 10 week old baby and her 1 year old mother. We tried feeding them separately with pellets (separate bowls) but they were eating from both bowls randomly. Is it okay that the mother eats the Oxbow Young Guinea Pig Food pellets for now? I don't know how to feed them separately. Right now we just have one bowl of pellets in there that we keep filled and they graze from it (we have only had them for 6 weeks, and have had one food bowl in there for about 4 weeks). Obviously we will be switching to the adult pellets around December when the baby is 6 months old.

I’m sure it will be fine, as long as they are getting plenty of hay pellets are a secondary along with some nice veggies

Oh yes, they have a big hay rack that’s always filled. Plenty of veggies a couple times a day. Thank you so much! I figured it was okay and it’s only for 3-4 more months until the baby hits 6 months old and can be switched to adult pellets anyway.
