When do you all feed your piggies and how many times a day? I want to change their feeding times from pellets in the morning when i wake up, leafy greens at 4pm and other veggies such as zucchini and bell pepper at 9pm to something more manageable for my schedule while giving them their full cup of veggies each a day.

I usually give them pellets in the morning, as they usually 'wheek me up' before I'd like and I'm sleepy and the only thing I can do is open a bag. I give them half the daily portion of vegetables at lunch, then another half when I come home in the evening.

I give my Finn and Lara veggies three times a day so they get variety of veggies, herbs and fruits.
Breakfast, they get romaine lettuce and baby spring veggies and one more herb or veggies like cilantro, parsley, dandelion, kale, or celery.
Lunch, they get pellets and treats like baby carrot or fruits.
Dinner, they get romaine lettuce and baby spring veggies and one more herb or veggies similarly to breakfast.

Mine get Oxbow hay three to four times a day so they never really run out. I make sure mine get enough vitamins through plenty of veggies, herbs and fruits.

I do veg morning and evening and nuggets every evening.

And hay round the clock, when it looks not fresh

I replenish hay, veg and pellets in the morning, I then replenish veg and hay when i get home from work. That is usually enough to see them through the night.

Mine get pellets in the morning, unlimited hay throughout the day and then around dusk a veg dinner.

Mine get the same as Betsy, hay all day, breakfast pellets, and a veggie dinner when we have ours..!

Mine get fresh hay in the morning (topped up throughout the day) veg at lunchtime and pellets when I go to bed, I also top their hay up so it will last most of the night

Mine get pellets first thing when I wake up, even before I'm fully awake or anything. They sure have me trained with their wheeking! If they hear the bed creak from me rolling over in my sleep, they recognize that sound and wheek excitedly, hoping I'm going to get up to feed them.

While they eat, I take advantage of them not being in the hay area to clean out the poops. Then I replenish the hay. I sweep the poops out of the rest of the cage and give them some veggies, strategically placing them in certain locations so I can sweep the poops out of the area they were in.

When I get home from work, I repeat the same routine, giving the veggies in certain locations to free up areas to clean. I then replenish the hay and refill the water bottles. I might wash the water bottles and pellet bowls out completely at this time as well. Later on, before I go to bed a check the water bottles, cage cleanliness and hay supply again.

I choose to give the veggies multiple times a day because my pigs are very grabby with the veggies. I worry that the more timid pigs might not get their share. My reasoning is more veggie times a day, more chances for everyone to get their share. But I can only manage two veggie times in my schedule. I just split the reasonable veggie amount for my five pigs in half, giving half at each meal time.

When I give the pigs their veggies though, I only give one type of veggie at a time. I want my pigs to have a balanced diet, but my pigs all have their preferences. Frolic loooooves red pepper and would eat her share and everyone else's if she could. Bliss would gladly let her because she's not too keen on it. So to prevent this, I give everyone a piece of something and wait for them to be done before I give them the next thing. It takes longer to feed them this way, but I believe it's better for my pigs this way.

Oh! And I give them leaf lettuce, celery, red pepper, and cucumber daily. I've recently decided to add a little bit of cilantro into their daily diet too. I also sometimes get Belgium endive for them. They sometimes get a small guinea pig mouthful size piece of carrot or banana or one blueberry as a treat from time to time as a treat. They also sometimes get spinach, but I'm trying to be careful not to feed them too much.

I have the same situation in the morning, i have to be very quiet while in bed or they think they are getting food, lol. And thank you for sharing your routine it helps.

Thank you everyone, i think i am going to try and feed them their veggies at night and keep the rest the same. I think this will also help my shy pig cinnamon to eat more hay throughout the day.
