they (well i did) run out of piggy nuggets this morning and my delivery isnt expected until tomorrow.

They are also rather smelly as i havent been able to clean them since Sunday :red (i'm sure they dont care but i do)

will they be ok without nuggets for 24 hours?

They will be fine :d

Given that hay is the main part of their diet as long as they have that then they will be fine. Some piggies never get any pellets during their entire life and are fine so 24 hours will not be a problem! Hay and veggies are the most important part of their diet IMHO and they will be fine with just that for 24 hours :D

They'll be fine honey, so long as they have plenty of hay to munch on. Alot of slaves dont give nuggets full stop. x

thanks :) they have plenty of hay and veggies :)

typical they usually have half full nugget bowls in the mornings and this morning all empty!

just having a down day i think.

Hey don't worry I ran out of nuggets last night and I wont be able to get to a store until tomorrow morning! I'm sure they prefer hay and veg anyway ;)

aww dont worry, the fact you're worrying about it shows how good a piggie mum you are. But theres no need to worry as others have said as long as they have hay they will be fine.

I know of 2 people who give veg one day, hay the next and muesli the next. So basically they only get one type of food per day.

Another person I used to work with, gives their piggies hay as an occasional treat!

Have tried to give advice re the hay but it fell on deaf ears. And the other 2 have had piggies way longer than me, so what do I know eh?

We all have down days, actually havin one myself. Mine is about being a bad mum (to my girls) too. I know I'm being daft but I cant help it. :(

Have you not reported these people to the RSPCA, that is neglect!

Don't worry, they will be fine. They have still got 90% of their normal diet (80% hay, 10% veg, 10% pellets). Just slightly up the amount of vitamin C veg you are giving, if possible; hay should make up for the rest for a few days. Many piggies on the continent are living healthy, long lives without pellets.

It proves what a caring mummy you are!

Toffeewoffee- one is a good friend of mine and a trained vet nurse. The other is her friend, I couldnt do that to them. If the pigs were ill I would feel diffrently but they are all happy and healthy.

Believe me I have struggled with it loads of times but its a hard position for me.
