felt sorry for piggies, how can people not love them?

i was in pets at home today, while my housemate was choosing a toy for her piggies, i was looking at the piggies they had, and they were all gorgeous white ones with red eyes, and one looked like a himi cross.

but anyway while i was looking at them this guy came and stood next to me with his girlfriend and said really loudly

"god theyre so freaky! how can anyone think theyre cute? their ugly!"

it made me upset i felt so sorry for the little piggies, i wish i could have taken them all home
 
some people are so strange are'nt they. how could anyone not fall in lve with every piggie they meet? i dont get it. if it was up to me our house would be full of them! luckily my boyfriend has more sense ( and allergies) than me! ;D
 
Awww how can they say that :( i went P@H today theres NEVER anything in there :-\ but thats good right ? ?
 
I know, some people are so horrid! I was in p@h not long ago and a child came along to look at the pigs with her dad. The mother passed and said 'come on, don't look at them, rabbits are so much better!' I was fuming! Rabbits aren't better, pigs aren't better than rabbits. They are all the same, animals that need love and affection but more importantly in my opinion the proper diet and housing as well as cage mate to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Some people make me so damn angry, I could really scream!

I was always taught if you haven't got something nice to say ,don't say anything at all ! so :-X
maybe that man should take a leaf out of my book?
 
thats so evil, its a good job the piggies couldnt understand what he was saying! nasty man :tickedoff:
 
I have a white, pink eyed piggie! I'll have to try and post a picture of him, he is gorgeous!
 
i know it made me so angry these piggys were soooo cute and had such personalities! they were running around and noseying at everyone who walked past they were adorable. not freaky at all :tickedoff:
 
i cant understand why poeple had guinea pigs ? 98)they have got such sweet personalities :) that can sometimes make you laugh ;D ;D,.Personalie i dont like rabbits i prefer guinea pigs!!
 
People are mean >:( I have rabbits and guinea pig and think they are lovely.. I know when I collected my piggies from a rescue the woman said I don't like rabbits they are boring! No idea how she thinks rabbits are boring :( they are far from it!
 
Some of my friends call my pets horrible too >:( the gerbils look like street rats and my rabbits and guinea pigs are gigantic and scary apparently 98) Some people just can't appreciate them
 
Life would be very boring if we all liked the same things, wouldn't it?

I love my guinea pigs but most of my family dislike them intensely, including my OH. I just think it's their loss if they don't want a nice piggie cuddle!

But I must admit I don't like the pink eyed piggies as much as the dark eyed ones.
 
my daughter has a friend who dislikes piggies but then she is a little strange

Lez i can relate, i think like all of us... sadly there's some 'different' people out there :'( :'( :'(
We love animals and they don't, how very very sad and deprived they are :'(
 
Its just ignorance

When i was a school i thought my friends guinea pigs were boring because they just sat in a hutch and didnt do anything
I thought my cat was so much better

Now I would choose a pig over a cat evey time
 
i swear he must have been at the pet shop just to amuse himself by making fun of the animals :tickedoff:
 
well i likw both gp and bunsters equally =] however i know what you mean with the whole pink eyed thang.
I bought i lovely rabbit , called Harry and he had been in the shop for about 5 months :'( i must admit he was an impulse buy cos i had been in there previously and he was in theer all alone. I thought i could bond him with mops however that was never ment to be because he died :'( he was such a gorg bunny and one lady, which was when i was holding harry in the shop, said 'God he looks like the devil!' i was so mad >:( :tickedoff:

Some people just have no respect, I bet that guy was much uglier than any piggie :tickedoff:

Should have said "Jesus aint your kid ugly!" to the mother.
 
Our Jeremy is pink eyed and ginger, and I call him my handsome boy, because he is! He has an adorable face. (Although I have just bathed him, and while he was int he bath I heard a funny bubbling "pop" noise, yes, he farted in the bath!).

I'd have probably filled up and wanted to take them all home if I had heard that too, poor little things. I don't think people know enough about piggies and what lovely pets they can be.
 
thats exactly how i felt, i felt so bad when the guy insulted them, i just wanted to pick them all up and bring them home with me :smitten:

i dont mind pink eyed piggys. if people dont like animals they shouldnt say it so openly near people who do like them :(

i personally dont like rats but i dont go standing near the rat section insulting them

hes gorgeous!

my housemate has a ginger sheltie with pink eyes whose also gorgeous!

i think red eyes suit certain piggies more than dark eyes do. they seem to really suit ginger piggies
