hi
just wondering...
are piggies allowed fennel, haven't given them any, just wondered, and if so do they like it? ?

It is on the piggie shopping list in this forum, so i think they can have it :) Although i am not sure whether they like it, i know i don't ! 98)

to me fennel tastes weird..so i dont think my pigs would like it lol

my bf got some fennel tea last night..that tasted rather odd too ;D

Last year I grew Fennel for my pigs and they loved it- they ate it all and it grows much bigger if you grow it from seed yourself to feed. Unfortunately this years crop had a load of concrete blocks dumped on them ::) as we're having a lot done in the garden at the moment (though it looks a bombsite!).
So yes they do, they eat the feathery top and the bulb.

oh, i will try them with it then, it's just i'm growing some, thats all. :)

Ooh, good post, I have seen this in the supermarket and wondered if the piggies might like it. I will try them with it!

Homegrown is much better, and they get to eat it all not just the peeled off bits, once it gets going there's no stopping it though I found it 'fragile' at first :)
