ive has my two sows for 2.5 years, they get on relitivly well, the teeth chattering happens on a weekly basis but recently there's been high pitched squeaking as if in pain from their cage.
I know which piggie is making the sqeaking and I've only really noticed it when she's in the other piggies hiding space. She'll stand there and she continues to make the high pitched squeak and eventually goes in to the other hiding space.
Should I be conserned at this change in behaviour?

There is no fighting when they have lap time. They get really comfy and enjoy it.
Any advice welcome!

the high pitched squeaking is submission squealing; it is not from pain. You may want to consider whether you want to hae your more dominant sow checked for ovarian cysts/hormonal issues if she becomes noticeably more aggressive.

I will do thankyou wiebke! I'll keep an eye on them. She's just been popcorning and they are sharing the pellet food bowl now. Maybe nothing to worry about.

I have two male guinea pigs and they have just started fighting. Should I separate them or will they get lonely. Should I separate them and buy two New Guinea pigs for the each of them?

Hi and welcome

Could you please start your own thread by clicking on the large "start new thread" button on the right when you click on the section you want to post in.

Without knowing more about the background, age, cage size etc, as well as your location (which determines your options) I can only ask you to please carefully read this very detailed guide: Boars: Bullying, Fighting, Fall-outs And What Next?
