The 3 minis that were born here on Wednesday were looking a bit thin today and when I weighed them they've all lost around 10g (they were all just under 100g at birth). I know they sometimes do lost a gramme or two in the first couple of days but these do look at bit skinny, you can see their hips.

Agatha has got milk in both teats, so that's ok, and she's always feeding them... she didn't eat much herself in the 24 hours after the birth (which was very bloody) so maybe that's had something to do with it. She's eating normally now.

Anyway, can everyone please keep their fingers crossed for the littluns please until they're out of the woods. I've named them now:

Right - Elijah

Thanks

Thank you, they've just tucked into some extra milk and Critical care.... looks like I'll be giving them lots of extra meals this weekend! They're quite bright so I'm hopeful they'll put up a fight

Good luck with them Sophie. You're doing a great job with them. They are adorable and their names are great. xx

Thanks - because I had a whole lot of pregnant sows come in at once, I decided to go through the alphabet - so all the sows and original boars are 'A' names, first litter 'B' names etc. Up to D for this lot! Wonder what Z will look like (!)

Hope they gain some weight Sophie, they are adorable. Like how you name them. I'm trying to think of names for the rescues coming tomorrow haha although I have to run it by an 8 year old first! :))

Keep us posted on the wee ones! ^)

I found a great website which gives lots of names and their origins - so Ellia means 'sunshine'

They are still looking skinny but lapping away at the milk so I hope they'll be ok

Thanks everyone

They are absolutely gorgeous! My guineas are sending squeaks over to them all! I'm sure with all the love they are getting they will grow & thrive :)

Well I couldn't resist any longer and just popped them on the scales again - and they've all gained a few grammes since yesterday, nearly back to birth weight again.

They are also less keen for the supplemented milk, so I can only assume they are getting more from Mum now - I'm keeping her occupied with lots of fresh greens to help her make milk!
