Don't think I was really prepared for how traumatising the fireworks would be for the boyz!

I bring them in at night anyways, and there has been a few whizzes and bangs over the past week which they weren't too bothered about.

But last night it was like a war zone outside.

The boyz were panic stricken.

I covered the house cage with a blanket so it was dark and put an old jumper of mine in the cage which is one of their favourites. They cuddled up under it and seemed okay.

But Marmalade got a bit hysterical later in the evening.

I picked him up and he clung to my t-shirt and buried his head in my body trembling.

I put in on my lap wrapped up in a blanket and chatted and stroked him and he calmed down.

Any advice for tonight?

Mine didnt even notice them but mine are always indoors so no help to you really, are you moving them in and out every day? as they dont adjust to temp changes very well and its getting cold even during the day now? i would bring them in full stop of if you want them out doors they should of been put out a few weeks ago to climatise:( piggies are bloomin difficult theres always something they need makes you wonder why we love them so much:))

Mine are indoors too but I kept thinking about the animals outside :...
OH and I sat in the kitchen as there is a big display on the park close to our home so get a great view knowing the piggies are safe and warm :))

Mine are in at night (around 5pm onwards) and out during the day (8am to 5pm). When it gets colder they will stay in for the winter.

So they were indoors during the fireworks, but it was so loud!

Extra cuddles then poor piggies, mine didnt seem to notice i didnt even think they would as they are indoors so i will watch them tonight, dont know how I'm guna cuddle all 8 of mine at once tho:))

I normally have a radio on for a couple of days beforehand, lots of hay and a towel over them.
