so its my girls first night in their new home, they haven’t moved much - which i expected as everything’s new, big and scary! just wondering if i should give them a small amount of veggies today? i doubt they will take them from me but was thinking if i leave them in the cage they might eat them? going to put more hay in the houses both up and downstairs, one is currently in the ‘bed bit’ upstairs while the other is just sat in the bottom level in a pile of hay haha. i just want them to be comfortable and happy, i apologise for all my posts and questions!

I would put some hay, pellets, veggies and water close by wherever the piggies are hiding. That way they can eat undisturbed while they settle in.
What sort of cage do you have with an upstairs and downstairs? Please just be warned that not all piggies are used to or willing to use ramps.

:agr:

As I mentioned earlier, definitely make sure hay is everywhere in the cage for warmth but also so they can eat without having to come out of hides if they don’t want to.

yep they’ve got their food, hideys and hay in there, just off to get a duvet to keep the bottom bit warm as only the top hutch bit has a thermal cover. we only have 1 bottle (stupidly didn’t think!) but getting another tomorrow morning, hoping the veggies will hold enough water for the night incase she doesn’t find her way up to the bottle😬 its a two story hutch, one has managed to get down the ramp already, i’m hoping once i can pick them up for cuddles i can teach them to use it!
