Fleece Bedding, Has Anyone Used This In Outdoor Hutches?

I am thinking of making some fleece bedding for my piggies, fleece with washable pad attached, I can sew so thought i would try anyway.. Has anyone used fleece for outdoor hutches as I have mainly seen it used with indoor C&C cages.

I use fleece in my outdoor hutch. Works exactly the same! Just ensure that when it rains the hutch is covered well to avoid the fleece soaking up the wet and staying damp.

That looks lovely ! I have ordered a hutch cover, looks similar to the one you have so hopefully that will stop the rain getting in!

I measured the hutch and ordered them. I got them from ziggys piggys. I can highly recommend them! Very absorbant and keeps their feet lovely and dry

Fleece works very well in a hutch, especially if the hutch is lined with lino to protect the wood first.

Fleece in an outdoor hutch is lovely.
You can buy Lino squares for a pound in poundland to protect wood.

I have bought some fleece and some washable incontinence pads so am hoping to make something for the hutch in the next few weeks, if i can get it through my sewing machine ! Will post photos if i am successful !

question for ayemee, when you wash your fleece, do you put it inside a bag inside the washing machine? i have read about people using a special bag to catch any hair..

I wash it inside an old pillow case
