Hi
I have been looking at some of the homes you have for your piggies and I currently use sawdust, but I really like the idea of fleece, as it looks warmer, tidier and cheaper. I just wanted to know if there is a certain type of fleece or can any be used. We have a 99p shop near us and I was going to get a load from there. Is any type of fleece suitable?
Also How often do you clean it - as I can imagine it would get really smelly when my piggy wee's on it (he wee's ALOT). Or do you have a seperate toilet area for your pigs?
Thanks

I am using the £1 pet blankets in my hutch and they are just fine, I washed them all twice in simple bio washing liquid (I can have powder or certain brands of washing liquids as allergic rolleyes ) and the wee wicks right thorough them just fine. I have invested in some larger sheets of fleece off ebay for the larger section of the hutch, plus they are a bit brighter than the black ones I have.

I use part fleece and shredded paper. I wash the fleece twice a week. I use vet bed for my oldest piggys. I wash the fleece twice in boiling hot water then put them in the washing machine on 40c then dry in the airing cuboard. I make and sell some items if your interested. The hammack houses are a big hit my piggys love them and they dont need washing that often. Take a look at my blog. http://bexpets.blogspot.com/ Or you can buy my things on ebay. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/annie78art/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562
