What are the advantages of vet bed or pro fleece over regular fleece?

i dont know i have profleece but never had just regular fleece as a floor bedding.
I would say a con against pro fleece is the fact that when it rolls up it so big so harder to wash than regular fleece.
Pro to profleece is that it doesnt get as wet quickly when they wee and doesnt smell as much - i have regular fleecing they lay on at night as when they we it gets stained and bit smelly.

I've never had any problems with fleece - the cage has never started to smell, it's never wet on top and it seems fine. Just wondering if profleece or vet bed could be better though.

One thing i've noticed about our vet bed is that it is really thick - much thicker than, say, a fleece jacket or piece of 'fabric' fleece.
