Hi everyone,

Just wondering what everyone thought was best to use as bedding in their cage, I was on sawdust but it was just a nightmare and I ended up hoovering just about every day as they kept kicking it out through the bars when they were paying.

At the moment I've been putting newspaper down with hay on top, which they seem to like but now I'm thinking fleece would probably be warmer for them? Just a few questions...
How often does it need washed?
Is it annoying to clean up poos from their toilet corner every day?
Any ideas of where to get it quit cheap?

Thanks,

Jess x

Hiya, I use fleece I wash about every 4 or so days but that's not even cos it smells, it doesn't, I just like to. I pick up poop twice a day, once in morning before they get breakfast & once at night before they get supper. It takes about 20 seconds & I don't find it annoying at all. Fleece is by far the best thing I've ever used I wish I'd used it on my rats when I had them years ago. It's so fresh & easy, it's so quick to clean them not having to sweep up bedding etc. I would def recommend!

I buy from Asda, or primark ;)
